Did some laundry last night and it dried on the picnic table.

Left camp at 7:45am. Nice sunny day but not as hot.

Since today is our 40th wedding anniversary I thought this would be a good picture.
Al and Joce took us out for an anniversary dinner back in April.

The guy in the red jacket is the bike mechanic from Cap's Cycling in Langley. He saw my bike and came over for a look.
I told him I went to Cap's a few days ago to get them to check the gears but they were too busy to look at my bike.
He took out his tools and adjusted the gears. Works great now. Thanks.

The campground was on the shore of Lake Kamloops. Beautiful huge lake.

Another view of the lake. It stretched about 30 km

They had a scenic lookout that gave a great view.
There were lots of hills to climb on the way to Kamloops.

Saw two bears in the field along the road.
I was glad to see they were more interested in what they were doing than me.

Kamloops is a large city along the Thompson River

Stopped at Tim Horton and had a sandwich ( gone before the photo ) and coffee using one of the Tim Horton gift cards.
While in Kamloops, I checked around but couldn't find any Wi-Fi spots so I stopped at a hotel and they charged me $5.00 for a half hour use of their free internet.
I was able to do some updates of my web page and also made a few phone calls.

Just outside Kamloops the sky started to cloud over and the winds picked up.
The wind was from the east and I was heading east!

Great company, but the house is small and I see what they mean, Open House

Now this one looks better

Just before Chase, I stopped at a fruit stand and picked up a few apples.
It was closing time and the owner offered me a piece of homemade pie.
The pie was great and while eating it a guy in his 20's came over and talked to me about my trip.
He did it by himself two years ago and had a great time.
He told me about a web site www.warmshowers.org.
Private residences that provide bikers a shower and place to stay on their trip through. Nice fellow.

Arriving in my destination for the night.
Took a motel to work some more on my web page and charge the camera batteries, the cell phone and the computer.
Found a Subway and picked up a large sandwich for supper using my gift card.
